The team at Salsa Bar & Grill, Port Douglas Australia are pleased to announce their latest achievement in winning Best Modern Australian Restaurant in Queensland for 2012 in the “I Love Food” awards.
Salsa Bar & Grill are honoured and humbled at the response from local, domestic and international guests who put forth their votes for their favourite restaurant. Salsa’s co -owners and chefs Bill Conway and Rhys Bawden would like to thank both their team for all their hard work, as well as their many loyal and valued guests for their continued support.
Chef Bill puts the success and achievement of the restaurant down to “hard work, dedication and team work – as well as a passion for great food, a high level of customer service and fun. Our Salsa team pride ourselves of having a good time while offering a great dining experience”.
Rhys would also like to acknowledge the people of Port Douglas, Queensland for all their continued support. “It’s the people of the Port Douglas region, our return guests and friends who help make Salsa Bar & Grill what it is today. For this we are truely grateful”.
“While winning the major prize would have been brilliant exposure for the restaurant and Port Douglas, the acknowledgement of our high guest satisfaction level was our true goal”, said Rhys. “Salsa would also like to congratulate Red Lantern on a fantastic win”.
Launched by the Lifestyle Food Channel, the “I Love Food Awards” is Australia’s biggest people’s choice awards where it reveals and celebrates Australia’s favourite places to eat out, chosen by the Australian public. This years overall winner was Red Lantern in Sydney’s Surrey Hills, who also won Best Vietnamese.
